James Paragano Architect LLC is a full service architecture and interior design firm widely recognized for luxurious residential designs inspired by the timeless language of classical architecture. Founded in 1989 by architect James Paragano, the firm is grounded by a tradition of creating beautiful architecture through a carefully orchestrated ensemble of history, proportion, exquisite detail and just the right balance of restraint. Mr. Paragano’s design philosophy is not simply to imitate history but rather merge the clarity, harmony and repose found in classical precedent with the evolving needs of modern society and the specific requirements of each client. He is well versed and fluent in a broad range of architectural styles and applies this knowledge to create extraordinary and graceful architecture that stands the test of time.

Like the many classicists he so admirers, his work embodies an intense passion for meticulous craftsmanship and bespoken detail all accurate to the historical style chosen. The result is enduring architecture that is at once recognizable, contextual, timeless and yet uniquely his own signature. Mr. Paragano is insistent on excellence in everything

he creates and possesses a passion for innovative design and a commitment to sustainability in architecture and the built environment. This is evidenced by the seamless incorporation of advanced building technologies such as geothermal heating and cooling, energy recovery ventilation, led lighting, home automation and lighting control.

Mr. Paragano earned a Master of Architecture from the University of Texas and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Kent State University. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects and the Classical Institute of Architecture. He is licensed to practice architecture in New Jersey and New York and currently has projects throughout both states.
